Merrimack River Boathouse Project
Hooksett, NH
Capital Fund Raising Campaign - 2021
Since the fall of 2014 MRA has had the goal of finding a site on the Merrimack River for a boathouse that would be our permanent home.
The search is over!
We now have 30 beautiful acres of land in Hooksett under contract to purchase.
To date we have commitments totaling over $180,000, but still need to raise $160,000 by December 31st for the acquisition.

Manchester Rowing Alliance at a Glance
The mission of Manchester Rowing Alliance is to provide opportunities to participate in the sport of rowing for the residents of the greater Manchester, NH area. Since 2014 we have been managing a competitive team for high school aged athletes.

Programs
We offer school-year rowing teams for high school-aged students. We also offer Learn to Row programs for all ages during the summer. For all of our programs, no rowing experience is necessary. Our high school rowing team competes with other high school teams all over New England.
High school rowers must submit their names via the button below, and complete the following forms:
1. Health Form
2. US Rowing and Manchester Water Works waivers
3. Swim Test
US Rowing Membership:
Required for Fall and Spring Teams
IMPORTANT
US Rowing Membership is required prior to the start of the fall and spring competitive seasons. Returning rowers only need to renew their membership on their membership anniversary: in other words, if you became a US Rowing member in August, you will only need to renew in August of the following year. The Basic Membership at $9.75 is adequate, but if you'd like to support the US Rowing team for an additional fee, you can join as a Champion Member for $45.00. All rowers competing at a National or International level must be Champion Members.

Rowing can be a lifelong athletic pursuit that provides individuals with a wide range of opportunities for personal development. We strive to cultivate this rowing ethic in our programming. The opportunities include:
-
Physical fitness – Low impact, full-body aerobic and strength conditioning for a life time.
-
Social, intellectual and leadership development in a supportive and healthy environment.
-
Cooperation and teamwork in an optionally competitive environment.
-
Personal discipline, goal setting and self-awareness.
-
Immersion into and appreciation for the natural environment.
Our goal is to use rowing to help young people and adults develop positive life skills for happy and productive futures.
Mission Statement
The mission of Manchester Rowing Alliance (MRA) is to provide youth and adults the opportunity to explore and refine the art and sport of rowing.

Future Plans
Our goal is to establish a community boathouse on the Merrimack River to serve the greater Manchester community. Our vision is a non-motorized water sports facility that will bring people to appreciate the river for its beauty, ecology, and recreational potential.
